Mrs Singh sees patients with all breast symptoms and runs a weekly "One-Stop" Breast Clinic at Mount Alvernia Hospital and Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital
Common breast symptoms include:
lumps
pain
nipple discharge
skin changes
itching
changes in appearance and nipple inversion.
The aim of the One-Stop clinic is to provide rapid assessment of your symptoms and diagnose any conditions that may require treatment. This involves performing a triple-assessment which consists of:
Taking a history and examining you
Investigation with ultrasound +/- mammograms and
Biopsy if needed
Most women can be reassured after satisfactory assessment.
If a biopsy is performed, the results are usually available within 3 working days. To ensure gold standard treatment, all pre-cancerous and cancerous biopsies are discussed in a Multi-Disciplinary Team Meeting and treatment options will be discussed with you.
Highly experienced Breast and Oncology Nurse Specialists are available to support patients and their families throughout their diagnosis, treatment and beyond.
